About

FOUNDERS:The founders of this organization are Roland Bayalan (CDP-Christian Democratic Party member) who is a USG President 1991-1992 and by Noel Rosas (a SAKADA member) and later was elected as USG President 1992-1993 with founding adviser Rev. A. Tito Clemente, formerly OSA Coordinator (PCU Taft) and later became the Director of Athletics (PCU Taft).

HISTORY:
Metanoia began in the summer of 1992 at Philippine Christian University, Taft Avenue, Manila. Noel Rosas and Roland Bayalan decided to come up with a student body to merge their two different organizations for the purpose of building future student leaders to run for the USG (University Student Government) elections, thereby giving birth to "Metanoia" as a political organization in PCU.

From then on, Metanoia made it through the elections until the year of 1994.
In 1994, the organization lost in the elections for the USG.
Despite of the lost in 1994, Metanoia made a come back in 1998 when Noel Rosas became the coordinator of The Office of Student Affairs in PCU-Taft Manila. He decided to re-establish Metanoia by converting it from a university political organization into a socio-civic organization.

Now, Metanoia was founded by the student founder Alexander Martinez, who became the first president of Metanoia as a socio-civic organization. Also, this was the year when Metanoia PCU Dasmarinas was born with the help of Aileen Alvarez.
Being a socio-civic organization, the Metanoia focused on socio-civic works such as outreach programs, cleanup programs, tutorials, seminars, symposia, leadership training seminars, chapel services, general assemblies, inter-organizational activities, and the likes focusing on building camaraderie between different student organizations within PCU, academic and nonacademics; and serving as the bridge and voice of the students to the administration within the university.

Still, building future student leaders is the main goal of this organization. Being a socio-civic organization, the members were given more chances to build themselves as leaders through working hand in hand for the less fortunates.

In 2005-2006, the organization had problems with its own student officer's commitments that the popularity of the organization had declined.

In January 2007, the metanoia alumni of PCU Taft from 1998 to 2005, officers and members alike, were gathered through a meeting set to conduct an outreach program. In this meeting, the idea of re-establishing Metanoia was discussed. Because the alumni believe that they have learned so much from the organization and because everyone wanted to share what they have learned, it was decided to re-established Metanoia in PCU Taft by recruiting potential members. Existing student members and alumni dedicated some of their time to do this task in re-building the organization.
In June 2007, Metanoia once again was accredited in PCU Taft as a sociocivic organization.
Now, the organization is still alive in PCU Taft and pursuing its goals and essence of existence.
