The pastor's message yesterday was about "moving forward by looking backwards". I thought how are you gonna move forward if you still have to look back from your past, or from where you've been. So i continued listening, instead of texting in the church.
I actually forgot the text verse but the pastor shared the book of Joshua about the time where Moses died and God appointed Joshua to lead the Israelites. Joshua probably felt anxious to receive such responsibility. But God has his promise to Joshua.
The pastor outlined his message in 3 points.
1. Remember God's faithfulness
2. Recall God's mission on you - ask yourself, " What is your mission in life and how can i fulfill it?"
3. Rely on God's promises.
Are you in God's land of promise or in the land of Yourself??? Any thoughts???
"Do not conform yourself to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, and pleasing, and perfect." Romans 12:2
